I'm so sorry to hear about your friends husband. The loss of a loved one is never easy but when it's your spouse and unexpected it is even more difficult. Both of these cards are stunning! Of course the pink one is my favorite. It is perfect for a sympathy card with the soft colors. The paper and inking around the oval is gorgeous! The sentiment is beautiful and I'm sure your friend will find comfort in it.
